Common issues and how to fix them

1. Products Not Showing on Storefront

Problem: You’ve added products, but they don’t appear on your store or the marketplace.

Solution:

  • Go to your Seller Dashboard > Products.
  • Ensure the product is marked as Published.
  • Check that you’ve added:
    • A product title
    • Price
    • At least one product image
    • Stock quantity (for inventory-enabled items)
  • If everything is correct, click Update.
  • Also, confirm that the product is in the correct category and not marked as “Draft.”

2. Unable to Receive Payments

Problem: You’re not getting paid or your payment method isn’t working.

Solution:

  • Navigate to Seller Dashboard > Settings > Payment.
  • Choose your preferred payment methods (e.g., Bank Transfer, Ecocash, USD Wallet, Visa/MasterCard).
  • Ensure you’ve filled in correct and complete details:
    • Bank account number
    • Mobile money number
    • Any relevant account name
  • Click Save Settings.
  • Contact Tradeit Support if you haven’t received payments after an order is marked as Completed for more than 48 hours.

3. Cannot Edit Store Information

Problem: Your store details, banner, or logo aren’t updating properly.

Solution:

  • Go to Seller Dashboard > Settings > Store.
  • Make sure image files for your banner and logo are in supported formats (JPG, PNG) and under 2MB.
  • Fill in or update your:
    • Store name
    • Store description
    • Store address and phone number
    • Social media links (optional)
  • After editing, click Save Changes and refresh your store page.

4. Order Notifications Not Received

Problem: You’re not getting emails or dashboard alerts for new orders.

Solution:

  • Check your email spam folder for missed notifications.
  • Verify your email address in Seller Dashboard > Settings > Store > Store Email.
  • Ensure your browser notifications are enabled for Tradeit.
  • Log in regularly to your dashboard to see Order Updates under the Orders tab.

5. Delivery Options Not Displaying Correctly

Problem: Your customers cannot select shipping or delivery during checkout.

Solution:

  • Go to Seller Dashboard > Settings > Shipping.
  • Enable your delivery method (e.g., Local Pickup, Courier, Nationwide Delivery).
  • Set delivery zones or flat rates if applicable.
  • Don’t forget to click Save Settings after making changes.

6. Product Images Not Uploading

Problem: Images don’t upload or fail to display after upload.

Solution:

  • Ensure images are:
    • In JPEG or PNG format
    • Under 2MB in size
    • Minimum 600×600 pixels recommended for best display
  • Try clearing your browser cache and re-uploading.
  • Use a reliable internet connection to avoid upload timeouts.

7. Dashboard Loading Slowly or Not at All

Problem: Your seller dashboard is slow or won’t load fully.

Solution:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Try accessing the dashboard using Google Chrome or Firefox for best performance.
  • Disable any browser extensions that may block scripts.
  • If the issue persists, report it to Tradeit Support with a screenshot of the problem.
