The Affiliate Program lets you expand your reach by allowing others—bloggers, influencers, or everyday customers—to promote your products and earn a commission on each sale they generate.

This means more exposure for your products in Zimbabwe and beyond, while you only pay commissions for actual sales, making it a cost-effective marketing tool.

How Affiliates Work on Tradeit

• Affiliates receive a unique tracking link for your products.
• When someone clicks their link and buys from your store, the affiliate earns a commission (a percentage of the sale).
• You monitor affiliate performance and approve or adjust commissions via your Vendor Dashboard.

Where to Manage Affiliates

1. Log in to your vendor account at https://tradeit.co.zw
2. Click on the Affiliate menu on the left sidebar

Here you will see:

• Affiliate Requests: People who want to promote your products. You can approve or decline them.
• Affiliate Links: The tracking URLs created for approved affiliates.
• Performance: Sales, clicks, and commission reports.

How to Approve Affiliate Requests

1. Go to the Affiliate Requests tab
2. Review each applicant’s profile (look for active social media presence or relevant platforms)
3. Click Approve or Decline

Example: A popular Zimbabwean lifestyle blogger applies to promote your handmade jewelry. Approving them can boost your visibility among local audiences.

Creating and Sharing Affiliate Links

Once an affiliate is approved:

• They get unique links to share on blogs, WhatsApp groups, or social media
• You can also create custom affiliate links for specific campaigns or products

Setting Commission Rates

• Default commission rates are set by Tradeit but you can request adjustments through support if needed.
• Typical commissions range from 5% to 15% depending on your product margins.

For example, a vendor selling handcrafted Zulu baskets may offer a 10% commission to attract affiliates.

Tracking Affiliate Performance

Monitor:

• Number of clicks
• Number of sales generated
• Total commissions earned

Use this data to reward top-performing affiliates or adjust your marketing strategy.
