Product Q & A

The Product Q&A feature allows potential buyers to ask public questions about your products before they buy. These could be inquiries about:

  • Product specifications
  • Sizes or variants
  • Delivery timelines
  • Usage instructions
  • Availability or restocking

Your answers are displayed publicly on the product page, which helps other customers make confident buying decisions — reducing the chances of returns, refunds, or negative reviews.


📍 Where to Access Product Q&A

  1. Log in to your vendor account at https://tradeit.co.zw
  2. From the Vendor Dashboard, click Product Q&A in the left-hand menu

You will see a table listing:

  • The product in question
  • The customer’s question
  • A reply field
  • The date submitted
  • The option to approve, reply, or delete

💬 How to Respond to Questions

Step-by-Step:

  1. Click on the Product Q&A menu
  2. Find the question you want to respond to
  3. Click Reply
  4. Type your response in clear, professional language
  5. Click Submit

Your response will now be visible on the product page, under the Q&A section.

Product: Mbare Handcrafted Reed Mats
Customer Question: “Is this available in 2x3m size?”
Response: “Thanks for asking! Yes, we can custom-make 2x3m mats. Please allow 3 days for production. You may place a special order on the same product page.”

This helps the original customer and future shoppers understand what’s possible with your product.


✅ Approving or Moderating Questions

You can choose to publish or hide a question:

  • If the question is helpful to other buyers, click Approve
  • If it’s spam, abusive, or irrelevant, click Reject or Delete

Note: Always respond to valid questions, even if they’re critical or repetitive.

📥 Can Buyers Ask Questions Anonymously?

Yes, customers do not need to register to ask questions — but anonymous questions are still subject to moderation before they appear live.


🚫 How to Disable Product Q&A (if needed)

If you want to disable questions on a specific product:

  1. Go to Products > Edit
  2. Scroll down to the Product Options section
  3. Uncheck Enable Q&A

This will turn off the public question feature for that product.

⚠️ We recommend keeping Q&A enabled for top-selling items, especially if you’re a new vendor looking to build trust.
