Tradeit Refund and Returns Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Tradeit’s Refund and Returns Policy. This document outlines the guidelines for customers and sellers regarding refunds and returns on transactions conducted via Tradeit’s platform. This policy aligns with Tradeit’s Seller Agreement and supports transparency, fairness, and efficiency.

2. Eligibility for Refunds and Returns

  • Items must meet the conditions specified by the seller and Tradeit guidelines.
  • Refunds or returns are eligible if the item is defective, not as described, damaged during shipping, or received incorrectly.
  • The item must be returned within 30 days of delivery confirmation.

3. Return Process

  1. Customer initiates a return request via their Tradeit account within 30 days of delivery.
  2. Seller reviews the request within 5 business days and provides return shipping instructions.
  3. The customer ships the item back using the approved method and retains tracking information.
  4. Seller confirms receipt of the returned item and inspects for eligibility compliance.
  5. Upon acceptance, the refund process is initiated.

4. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method within 7 business days after the seller accepts the return.
  • Shipping fees are refundable only if the return was due to seller error or product fault.
  • If a dispute arises, Tradeit will mediate according to the process outlined in Seller Agreement – Section 9: Dispute Resolution.

5. Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items

  • Customized or personalized items are non-returnable unless defective or damaged.
  • Digital products or services are generally non-refundable unless explicitly stated.
  • Perishable goods must comply with seller-specific return policies as outlined in the Seller Agreement.

6. Seller Responsibilities

  • Accurately describe all products and conditions.
  • Process return requests promptly and communicate clearly with buyers.
  • Refund customers in a timely manner after receiving returned goods.
  • Maintain compliance with all sections of the Seller Agreement relevant to returns and refunds.

7. Tradeit’s Role and Limitations

  • Tradeit facilitates communication and payment between buyers and sellers.
  • Tradeit does not assume liability for the quality or condition of items sold.
  • Tradeit may intervene in disputes when necessary but encourages direct resolution between buyer and seller first.
